We enjoy reading a wide variety of poetry in good company. Members volunteer to compile selections of poems by particular poets or subjects, or we all bring along a couple of poems on a given topic. We also have an anthology (The Zoo of the New - Nick Laird - Penguin) for occasional use. Members then take turns in reading a poem aloud, and we all discuss the material, and life in general, over tea and biscuits. We all use email to help with meeting arrangements and distribution of materials.

UPCOMING TOPICS: Possible long poems including Sohrab and Rustam (Arnold), The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyám (Fitzgerald), Michael (Wordsworth) & The Raven (Poe), and Rape of the Lock (Pope)
