In February 2026 we launched 2  ‘Italian for Beginners’ groups which meet on the second Tuesdays and Thursdays of each month. Much progress has been made over the year and it's time now to rename these groups "First Steps in Italian". Beginners are still welcome to join these groups of course. Please contact the Group Leader for any further information you may require.

Group 1: meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 10.00-11.30

Group 2: meets 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 14.00-15.30

You may be asked to do some work outside the group meetings and sometimes to prepare in advance of each meeting.

We are using the BBC ‘Talk Italian 1’ absolute beginners’ course as a basis for group activities, adding in other resources as and when required.

(As of 1st September we have completed chapters 1 to 6 of the book)
