Tea Rota for Open meetings 2025/26

Groups to do teas 2025/26

Two or three people from the groups listed are requested to make and serve teas at the monthly open meetings. We are now offering refreshments BEFORE the meeting, from 1.45pm to 2.15pm, rather than afterwards so please aim to be there to set up from 1.30pm.

Group Leaders should note the month in which their group is on tea duty and contact the organising Groups Coordinator (currently Leo Lewis) to confirm their group will be covering their slot.

The Groups Coordinator will bring along the bag of supplies from the preceding open meeting, buy the milk and biscuits for each meeting, and replenish the tea, coffee and sugar stocks as needed.

As a guide approximately 2/3rds of attendees will usually take refreshments, and 1pt of milk should cover about 20 cups. The suggested charge for tea, coffee and biscuits used to be 20 pence, but now we put out a plate on the counter for voluntary donations. All takings for the day are to be added to the float box at the end. The Groups Coordinator will recoup any expenditure to replenish stocks from the float box with receipts and a covering note.

On arrival the first step is to switch on the hot water geyser and the dishwasher. The instructions for the dishwasher are on the wall in the kitchen.

If it is your first time and there is no-one in your group who knows the ropes please let the committee know and they will help out. Generally, a team of three is sufficient: one serving tea, one coffee and one replenishing the hot water.

Groups may exchange dates if desired so long as they keep everyone informed. (i.e. Group Coordinators and the Web Master).
