Daytime Walks
Meeting on the second Thursday and fourth Friday of each month at 10:30, we are a group which goes on countryside walks of approximately 5-miles throughout the year. We usually start the walks from a pub car park that is up to half an hour’s drive from Kenilworth. Group members make their own arrangements for getting to the start point and members are encouraged to share lifts where practical.
There are usually 12 to 25 of us on the walks. We have a brief stop for refreshments. We usually return to the pub for lunch although some members sometimes choose not to stay for lunch. Each time, a different member of the group makes appropriate arrangements with the pub, prepares and leads the walk. All walkers must sign-in at the start of the walk giving an emergency contact. We do not allow dogs on the walks.
Details of walks are circulated by e-mail one to two weeks before the walk and members advise the walk organizer of their attendance and usually of their menu choice.
